InLiquid’s annual benefit and art auction is a two-week long celebration of creativity, creators, and collectors, which features an online auction of contemporary works by over 200 local artists who work across all media. March for Art distinguishes itself from typical charity auctions through its equitable approach in which proceeds are divided equally between InLiquid and participating artists, providing direct support to artists. This structure allows collectors to discover new work while contributing meaningfully to the creative economy. 

PEEK Monday, March 9

Initiate the festivities with PEEK, an exclusive preview party designed for participating artists, sponsors, and VIP ticket holders. This gathering provides an opportunity to connect with fellow art enthusiasts and secure pieces ahead of the broader auction launch. Attendees gain early access to works from the full roster of participating artists before public bidding begins, creating a distinctive advantage for collectors.

UNITE Thursday/Second Thursday, March 12, 6 - 9 pm

Launch the celebration with UNITE, where the public joins InLiquid as the Crane Arts building comes alive for Second Thursday, a monthly open gallery night that transforms the entire arts corridor into an accessible cultural experience. All galleries open their doors in a collective celebration of the arts, providing an opportunity for seasoned collectors and newcomers alike to actively engage with the local creative scene within the city. This monthly tradition creates space for direct interaction between artists, galleries, and visitors in one of Philadelphia’s most active artistic hubs, whether to collect new work or simply experience contemporary artworks. 

DESIGN Saturday, March 14

Continue the supportive momentum with DESIGN, which opens with a designer trunk show in the early afternoon before transitioning into a member mixer with InLiquid’s artist members. This dual event connects the worlds of design and fine art while facilitating exchanges between members, creators, and collectors. Attendees can explore how functional design intersects with contemporary artistic practice within the gallery.

Conclude the festivities with BASH, the signature ticketed event that caps off InLiquid’s March for Art. This celebration of InLiquid’s 27th year offers an evening of food, drink, and art as the final hours of the auction unfold. Guests can expect special surprises throughout the night while the auction clock ticks towards its conclusion. The event draws together Philadelphia’s creative community for a finale that acknowledges the collaborative effort sustaining the local arts. 

The March for Art Shop transforms InLiquid’s gallery space into a curated retail experience featuring handmade jewelry, furniture, homewares, and clothing created by local artisans and craftspeople. This pop-up marketplace, curated by Isabella Aimone, the Programming and Digital Collections Coordinator here at InLiquid, showcases work by local jewelers and contemporary craft artists, offering visitors an opportunity to purchase unique pieces directly from their makers. The shop operates throughout the March for Art period. Collectors and gift-seekers alike can explore a diverse selection of functional art and wearable pieces that reflect Philadelphia's vibrant craftwork.
