InLiquid presents Rob Solomon: Forest-Life at bahdeebahdu. The term “Forest-Life” is a reference to German Romanticism, which idealized medieval-era agrarian society, and depicted rural life as harmonious, simple, and pure. Solomon takes this conceptual framework as a point of departure through which to create formal explorations into the beauty of natural patterns, textures, and colors. The paintings display a sense of freedom of movement and intuition while retaining an emphasis on control and precision.
