The Program and Engagement Coordinator is responsible for managing efforts to activate the Parkway with diverse, appealing programming; building and engaging new Parkway audiences and improving the Parkway visitor experience; communications; and developing and managing the Friends of the Parkway membership program, special event fundraisers, and other revenue streams derived from Parkway audiences. The Coordinator will additionally provide a wide array of general administrative support for the Council.
Key responsibilities include:
Programming and Parkway Activation
• Staff the program committee
• Work with the Executive Director and program committee on the overall vision and direction of Parkway Presents and other Parkway activations
• Manage all public programs or activations
• Coordinate with other Parkway institutions and City agencies on any non-Council Parkway programs or special events
• Develop ways for increased and better use of the Parkway by organizations from across the city
• Manage programming equipment and supplies
Audience and Parkway Constituency Development
• Build and engage new and diverse audiences, specifically through enhanced community and organizational outreach and partnerships
• Work to improve the overall Parkway experience, including passive use or recreation
• Manage partnerships that provide enhanced or new Parkway amenities
• Manage any Parkway “visitor services” efforts
Constituent Management
• Administer the organization’s CRM system
Communications
• Manage the Council’s website, social media accounts, newsletters, print collateral, and other communication streams
• Manage the Council’s press relations; build and steward relationships with members of the press
• Manage relationships with any communications or PR consultants
• Manage relationships with graphic and web design consultants
• Produce the Council’s Annual Report
Membership and Development
• Establish and build the Friends of the Parkway membership program
• Manage event production and development efforts, including ticket sales and sponsorships, for special event fundraisers
• Assist the Executive Director with program-related fundraising, such as corporate program sponsorship or grant applications
Administrative Management
• Support all Council operations to ensure an efficient and productive work experience and environment
• Manage office equipment and supplies
• Schedule and support Zoom and in-person meetings
• Maintain the Parkway master calendar; work with partners to receive and distribute information
• Field general institutional inquiries; manage info@parkwaycouncil.org and telephone voicemail systems
• Manage the Council’s mailing address relationship; process any postal mail
• Manage the Council’s IT needs, including equipment and software; ensure digital security and back-ups
• Manage the Council’s website domains and Google Workspace account (including email accounts)
• Manage the Council’s digital files through Dropbox or other servers
• Manage the Council’s relationship with an IT consultant
Other duties as directed.
Compensation: $60,000 - $65,000 annually
