The Summer Artist / Educator Residency (SAER) (June 24 – July 1, 2024) is Moore College of Art & Design's artist residency for nationwide art educators of all genders. This week-long studio-based artist residency is located in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.

Our focus is to uplift creative educators with professional development hours and dedicated studio space to experiment, research, and reflect. This dynamic environment gives educators dedicated time to make art, create connections with peers, and discover new skills for the classroom.

During this week-long experience, you’ll earn 40+ professional development hours (PA Act 48-eligible) and 3 transferrable graduate-level college credits PLUS 24-hour access to dedicated studio space with natural lighting in Moore’s Fine Arts studios. This program includes facilitator-led creative workshops, field trips, invigorating speaker series & catered lunches.

Moore College of Art & Design (est. 1848) remains the first and only historically visual arts college for women in the nation—an inclusive and innovative home to nine prestigious BFA programs and so much more. Our mission is more relevant than ever, as technology, sustainability and diverse cultures drive and disrupt new and existing industries. Through dynamic BFA and Graduate Studies programs, educational programs for creatively curious youth and professional adult learners, and our own public and dedicated space for contemporary art—The Galleries at Moore—we are influencers and advocates for breakthrough artists and designers of all ages and backgrounds.
