BRICK BY BRICK holds a coveted place in our constellation of juried shows, and we always try to align its editions historically -- or with history as it is being written, especially for LGBTQIA+ artists and art lovers in our community.

In 2019, the first edition celebrated Stonewall at 50. In 2024, the sequel called out the most critical election year so far (more to follow). And this year, we partner again with WILLIAM WAY for a third iteration that marks the 50TH ANNIVERSARY of our sister organization and their work right now to sustain critical community programs as their building is closed and they plan for the future. Plus, we could not have predicted the ways in which autocratic rule in this country is endangering hard-won freedoms as never before. For example, who would have imagined the federal government removing the PRIDE FLAG, if only temporarily, from the Stonewall National Monument on Christopher Street?!?

BRICK BY BRICK 3, which will run April 26 to June 19, is seeking outstanding art in ALL MEDIA from queer artists in this community and well beyond.

The DEADLINE for entries is this coming Thursday, APRIL 2, and the guidelines (see attached), which have been out since January, are the same as usual, including size limitations (48" combined dimensions, or height+width).

There is once again NO ENTRY FEE attached to the show. And we'll have TWO PARTIES! The Opening Reception will be Thursday, April 30, 7-10 PM...and we expect an even larger crowd for our PRIDE Reception on Sunday, June 14, 3-6 PM.
