This training program is designed for artists who are representative of the diverse communities of Philadelphia and beyond and are interested in adapting their skills to public community-based mural making. It offers a cohort-based experience where artists learn and explore together.
The local/local BIPOC artist experience is subsidized by other programing offered by the Mural Arts Institute with the goal of building the capacity of artists in Philadelphia. Scholarships are available upon request and a childcare stipend is available for the in-person session on Saturday, February 25. All participants will receive a small trial-set of mural-making supplies.
Visit the Mural Arts site for more information. See attached file for further information about the program and dates.
