I have always been drawn to the spirit and personality of these sentient beings. The playfulness, sensitivity and unique character of animals. Landscape is a genre that reveals the mystery and force of nature, that reminds us of our need to spend time communing with its healing powers.

Street Photography and People

Street photography possesses a fascinating quality in capturing the energy of people in their everyday life out in public spaces. Whether it be in markets, diners, parades or when traveling to cities abroad, the importance of understanding other cultures. Informal portraits may be one of my most favorite types of photography. It is a soulful art of attempting to express the essence and spirit of a person. Their uniqueness, vulnerability and what makes each character’s humanity special.

Collage and Interiors

In my collage work I enjoy gathering materials intuitively to form a relationship, a balance and create a visual meditation or poetic abstraction. These works tend to be quiet and reflective, as I search for that elusive quality of mystery… My interior images are largely devoid of people, mostly intimate, quiet reflections on the spaces both abandoned and inhabited by society. These would be images of workspaces, a place of worship, a prison, a dining room with the remains of a family dinner, someone's belongings or the ruins of properties that were exposed to environmental contamination. They all tell a story or prompt us to draw our own conclusions, imagining what may have taken place within these spaces.
