I am a mixed media artist based in Delaware County, Pennsylvania, working at the intersection of assemblage, painting, and handcrafted cigar box guitars. My practice is rooted in transformation — giving overlooked materials a second life and allowing discarded objects to speak in new and unexpected ways.
Living and working in Delaware County, I am influenced by the region’s layered history: industrial remnants, suburban sprawl, local music scenes, and the quiet poetry of everyday life. I am drawn to materials that carry evidence of use — weathered wood, rusted metal, found objects, and reclaimed cigar boxes. These elements hold memory. Through assemblage and painting, I recontextualize them, building compositions that balance texture, color, and narrative.
My cigar box guitars occupy a space between sculpture and instrument. Each piece is both visual artwork and playable object — a celebration of American folk ingenuity and the spirit of making do with what is at hand. Sound becomes another layer of the work, extending the visual experience into vibration and resonance.
Across mediums, my work explores themes of resilience, reinvention, and connection. By merging painting with three-dimensional assemblage and functional instruments, I aim to blur boundaries between fine art and craft, art object and utility, silence and sound. Ultimately, my practice honors the beauty found in imperfection and the stories embedded in reclaimed materials.
