The auction may be silent, but this year’s Benefit v.13 is fully interactive.
While you’re busy scanning the artwork on the walls, take a minute to scan the ten QR codes scattered throughout the room. Provided by Food for Thought, these codes will give you an opportunity to voice your opinion on the auction items.
Thanks to a screen provided by Benjamin’s Desk, you’ll have another chance to share your thoughts through live tweeting, using the tags @inliquidart and #Benefitv13. The best tweet of the night will get a free month’s membership to Benjamin’s Desk.
If you mourned the death of the Polaroid, then snap out of it with an event photo by The Impossible Project, which produces new instant film materials for traditional Polaroid cameras. They’ll be ready to capture you and your friends in the main hallway.
For fans of the moving image, Legion Industries, Inc. will be on hand to film the main night. This group of up-and-coming filmmakers from the Philadelphia area will be interviewing guests, so look for the traveling boom pole to grab some camera time.
You’ll even be able to spot images that move in physical space: Lawren Alice, co-founder of Gallery ML, will be on hand to body-paint model Lily Chesire.
Guests who stick around after bidding closes will be treated to a special performance from The Fresh Fuzion Collective, which sponsors innovative artistic projects.
If you get lost in the middle of it all, drag queen docents Messapotamia LeFae and Lance Pawling as Alaya Richmin will be there to guide and outglamour you.
We’ll see you Friday night at Benefit v.13, 6:30 – 9:30 pm at the Crane Arts Building, 1400 N. American Street.
