Mural Arts Philadelphia, the nation’s largest community art program, is seeking artists to produce a series of permanent and temporary murals/art activations at various scales for the Kensington neighborhood along Kensington Ave (on the “El”), between the Huntingdon Street and the Tioga Street Stations for Heart of Kensington Creates.

Heart of Kensington Creates (HOKC) is a collaborative effort by Councilmember Quetcy Lozada’s office, Mural Arts and Impact Services.Heart of Kensington Creates is a cross-sector, community-centered arts initiative focused on collective impact – lifting each neighborhood to celebrate its identity while building on their shared Kensington pride. This initiative aims to create a series of murals, art installations, and activations along Kensington Ave between the Huntingdon Street Station and the Tioga Street Station, culminating in August 2026.
