Juried Exhibition celebrating USA 250 and iconic colors

ABOUT THE EXHIBITION:

Artists are invited to submit works that celebrate and explore the theme RED WHITE BLUE in any way they choose. Open to all Pennsylvania, New Jersey, New York, Delaware and Maryland artists eighteen years of age or older. Limit of two (2) entries per artist. Entries must have been completed within the last 3 years and not previously exhibited at the Community Arts Center.

All two dimensional media accepted, including mixed media, wall sculpture and hand-pulled prints. Photography and digital art are acceptable. (No digital print reproductions of hand made works.) Two dimensional work may not exceed 48 inches in width and 6 feet in height. Three dimensional work is also accepted. Three dimensional work that requires a pedestal may not exceed 12 inches in width or depth and 36 inches in height. Free standing sculpture may not exceed 24 inches in width or depth and 48 inches in height. Hand delivery only. All entries must be dry and suitably prepared for hanging/display. The Community Arts Center reserves the right to reject any piece that does not meet these requirements. All work must be for sale. The Community Arts Center retains 40% commission on all works sold at this exhibition. The Community Arts Center will exercise every precaution in handling all entries, however, the Arts Center cannot assume responsibility for loss or damage. The exhibition will be on view in the CAC’s spacious Duke Gallery.JUROR: Jeff SchallerJeff Schaller is an award-winning artist whose work has been shown regionally and internationally for decades. His career has been dynamic and multifacted, including many mural commissions, special design projects, and visibility of his pieces on the popular television show Friends. Je founded the County Studio Tours, running studio tours for local artists in Chester County and surrounding communities. His work propels the viewer into bold scenes of seemingly unrelated subjects. The simultaneous expressions are pop and edgy, esoteric and direct, unrelated and curiously similar, creating a visual language of paradox and juxtaposition.
