DC GALLERY & STUDIO SUMMER 2025 OPEN CALL PROSPECTUS : JERSEY SUMMER

For DC Gallery & Studio’s very first group open call, we are looking for emerging and established New Jersey visual artists’ unique interpretation of “Jersey Summer”.

What does “Jersey Summer” mean to you? Is it a certain place or destination you frequent? Is it the smell of a certain food or recipe cooking? How about a certain sound you hear endlessly over the summer months? What is it that makes summertime in Jersey special to you? This exhibition is open to all mediums & materials. 2D artwork cannot exceed 48 inches in any direction & 3D artwork cannot exceed 6 ft. or 50 lbs.

This exhibition is open to visual artists living or working in New Jersey only.  Artists may submit up to 2 pieces of artwork for consideration in this group exhibition.

Exhibition Dates:  June 20 - July 31, 2025

Opening Reception: Friday, June 20, 2025 from 6-8pm

Closing Reception: Friday, July 18, 2025 from 6-8pm

$25 for up to 2 pieces of artwork

Submissions Due by midnight (11:59 PM) on Sunday, June 1, 2025.

Important Dates:- All artwork submissions are due by midnight (11:59 PM) on Sunday, June 1, 2025.-

All artwork submissions will receive a decision on Sunday, June 8, 2025.-

Accepted artists are expected to drop off their artwork on Friday, June 13, 2025 between 10am-noon OR on Saturday, June 14, 2025 between 10am – noon. -

Accepted artists are required to pick up their artwork on Friday, August 8, 2025 between 10am -4pm.
