"Beauty will save the world" -  Fyodor Dostoevsky

Biography of a Garden

This artist seeks comfort and relief from the harshness of current political realities in two places: her studio and her garden. As warmer weather approaches, she often feels torn between dedicating her energy to studio work or immersing herself in her gardening activitiesLast spring, faced with this dilemma, she made the decision to bring her garden into her studio. This choice became the inspiration and foundation for this exhibition, allowing the beauty of the garden to take root within her creative space. To further explore the fleeting and ever-changing nature of life, the artist incorporated clocks and watch faces into her work. These elements symbolize her ongoing effort to represent the ephemeral—those moments and experiences that cannot be fully visually represented, as well as the inevitable changes brought about by time. In the garden, the passage of time is evident through the changing seasons. Yet, in both the garden and the studio, there is a paradox: while one can clearly observe time’s effects, it is possible to lose all sense of time when deeply absorbed in the process of nurturing growth or creating art.
