Exhibits & Events

In this series of works, Addison Namnoum explores her relationship with Maine’s woods and coast, creating impressions from afar.
As the artist shares, “In my landscapes, I take concern in the temporal space between moment and memory. Through the exercise of landscape painting, these memories of place can be reworked, their specificity questioned and delighted in, their imprecision experimented upon. I believe in the exercise of repetition: working from the angle of retrospect, going over the same rocks, sky, and craggy trees, some new place can emerge, a place reinvented or known differently through this practice.”
