Exhibits & Events

Showcasing over 40 vendors, including individual artists, print shops, collectives, schools, and non-profit spaces, this one-day fair is FREE and open to the public from 10 AM - 4 PM.  Visitors can interact with a range of printmakers, print-publishers, print-focused galleries and nonprofits, with the opportunity to purchase original prints from a wide variety of artists and print studios. At this event one can find artists and printmakers using both innovative and traditional techniques in their prints such as relief printing, intaglio, Riso printing, photography, book-arts, zines, screenprints, digital prints and mixed media. This event focuses on printmaking as a vital, contemporary art medium, as well as one of historic significance to the city of Philadelphia.

Guest Lecture: PPC is proud to host guest speaker Dr. Heather Hughes, the Philadelphia Art Museum's Kathy and Ted Fernberger Associate Curator of Prints, for a lecture about PhAM's upcoming exhibition about the prints of Ghanaian sculptor El Anatsui. This event takes place in room 131/132, Heim Center, at 11 AM.

Letterpress Make & Take Workshop: Artist Belle Handler will lead participants in learning about relief printmaking, letterpress printmaking, and contemporary print practices available from local Philadelphia print shops. Participants will leave with a copy of their very own hand-printed poster, and knowledge of the letterpress printing process! This event is located on the first floor of Parkway Central Library in the East Hallway near the Lobby. Drop-in anytime between 12 PM and 3 PM.
