Exhibits & Events

Please join us at 6:00 PM on Thursday, July 24th, for a two-person artist talk with Anna Guarneri and David Beker in the Oar Pub, Park Towne Place. Light refreshments will be served.

Both Guarneri's and Beker’s work is featured in the current rotational exhibition at Park Towne Place, Human Scale. This exhibition examines the formal elements of architecture and uncovers the layered histories within buildings—industrial, residential, and commercial alike—drawing from their beauty, functionality, and cultural significance.

About the Artists

Anna Guarneri is a Philadelphia-based visual artist whose work explores suggestive imagery and the devotional connotations of stained glass. Originally from Oakland, California, Guarneri studied cultural history at the University of Pennsylvania and pursued nonprofit work before turning to visual art. Since 2020, she has exhibited nationally, including at the Delaware Contemporary, Mesa Contemporary Art Museum, and FJORD. She is a recipient of awards from the Canopy Program, the American Glass Guild, and Paradice Palase.

David Beker is a Philadelphia-based artist and designer whose work spans sculpture, furniture, and kinetic art. Trained in architecture and computer graphics, he holds degrees from the University of Maryland, Parsons School of Design, and the University of Pennsylvania. After working as a registered architect, he shifted to more tactile, hands-on forms of expression. His work has been exhibited nationally, with recent shows at the Wharton Esherick Museum, Cherry Street Pier, and New Hope Arts Center. He currently teaches architecture and furniture design at Drexel University.
