In alliance with Fall of Freedom’s call for creative resistance across the U.S., Philadelphia Sculptors proudly presents Re: Form, our local response to the national invitation. Using both 2D and 3D media, the 33 artists in the exhibition amplify the language of public protest by creating confrontational images, or present quieter and more private examples of bravery and rebellion. Each artist looks closely at how a policy, an institution, an inherited structure moves through our lives, leaving something changed. The opening reception is Friday, Oct. 2 from 6:00 – 9:00 pm. The exhibition runs from October 2 – 30 during selected hours as listed on the Philadelphia Sculptors website and is open during the Philadelphia Open Studios Tour dates of October 10 and 11. A special live demonstration of ice carving by Roger Wing will take place on October 10 from 2:30 – 4:30 pm.
