InLiquid presents paintings by artist member Katherine Kurtz at The Courtyard by Marriott in the Navy Yard. These works are from her Garden series, which grew out of her love of color and painting intuitively. Whole paintings developed from gestures that began cooperating with one another, suggesting gardens in different weathers. Kurtz invites viewers to enter these “gardens” and find their own resonant experiences.
