Curated by the art advisor Lauren Addis, Into the Woods is an exploration of natural connections between water & wood in our surrounding environment. The thread of inspiration for the collection of works draws upon the artists’ lifelong experiences and responses to the natural world. Artists Kristen L. Bell, Kevin Broad, Brent Crothers, Diane Richards, JoAnne Schiavone, and Barbara A. Straussberg, each translate the innate connection of elements through material manipulation, process, and form. The selected works both celebrate and question one’s relationship with the environment.
Join us for the opening reception on September 4th from 6-8 PM. The reception will begin in the North Tower.
