BRICK BY BRICK 3
For the fourth time in eight years, WILLIAM WAY, which marks 50 years of groundbreaking leadership in 2026, and OFF THE WALL/Dirty Franks, the pioneering alternative art space that will mark 50 in 2028, are working hand-in-hand to mount an extraordinary show of QUEER ART.
For the third time, BRICK BY BRICK is the juried exibition's theme -- one born of activism, a history of acting up and a commitment to building community.
BRICK BY BRICK 3 officially opens THIS THURSDAY, APRIL 30, 7-10 PM with one amazing party to celebrate the 42 LGBTQIA+ ARTISTS, 17 of them new to our space, who demonstrate their PRIDE and boundless creativity with the 75 works on display.
Six of these artists will also be lifted up as the show's AWARD WINNERS, an announcement that happily falls to our inimitable Emcee PLANTIE MAME, who will take the microphone at around 8:00.
And don't expect the festivities to stop just because the clock strikes 10. Almost every artist will be on hand for great conversation. OTW Curator and BbB3 jury member JODY SWEITZER will host. JAKE FOSTER will represent William Way and the innovative, peripatetic shows like this one that keep the Center's artistic flame burning brightly, as their home is renovated. ROSE COSSABONE will pour. Light hors d'oeuvres will be out, and the jukebox will hum along.
