Exhibits & Events

Art for the Cash Poor is a fabulous annual block party-style event that allows local artists the chance to show and sell their work directly to the public in a lively social atmosphere.
The 19th installment of InLiquid’s Signature Summer Event Art for the Cash Poor made a special move (this year only) to the Spring Arts District of Callowhill in partnership with Arts + Crafts Holdings for a one-day, outdoor-only, art festival on the parking lot next to Love City Brewery, just behind Union Transfer. This year’s event was a giant step towards a festive transformation to this evolving neighborhood, fully activated by artists and local organizations.
Art for the Cash Poor features artists, designers, and crafters who make and produce their own work. All work is to be sold for $199 and below.
The Kickoff Party
at Love City Brewery
Celebrating a strong start for Art for the Cash Poor 2018, while raising money to support the AIDS Fund, at the newly opened home of Love City Brewing Company in Callowhill, located at 1023 Hamilton Street, guests received an exclusive preview of several selected vendors of Art for the Cash Poor’s Main Event while enjoying complimentary Love City beers, wine, specialty cocktails, and catering by 13th Street Kitchens. The evening was DJ’d by Matt Beierschmitt a.k.a DJ Sharyn Stone.
Also, part of The Art for the Cash Poor Kickoff celebration was the unveiling of a mural on the roll gate adjacent to the new Love City Brewery by queer Philadelphia artists Santiago Galeas and Eva Wǒ, celebrating 30 Years of Philadelphia Pride! This mural is made possible to the Spring Arts District of Callowhill by the Mayor’s Office of LGBTQ Affairs, Arts and Crafts Holdings and InLiquid!
