Find out from Iranian-American cardiologist and visual artist Dr. Nazanin Moghbeli as she delivers the keynote address on April 12, 2026 at 1pm for The Clare Feldman Poliakoff Inaugural Lecture in the Luce Sculpture Study Center at 128 N Broad St.

Dr. Moghbeli's unique artistic practice transforms EKGs and diagnostic imagery into stunning works bridging Persian calligraphy and modern medicine. As Jefferson Health's Artist-in-Residence, Dr. Moghbeli pioneers the use of art to cultivate empathy among healthcare providers and prevent burnout—proving the creativity is not merely decorative, but essential to healing.

Following Dr. Moghbeli's keynote, a distinguished panel exploring the power of art to create inclusive, therapeutic experiences will be led by Cortney Reed, Director of Community Engagement at Jefferson Health. Panelists include Dr. Moghbeli, Megan Voeller (Director of Humanities at Thomas Jefferson University), Derek Gillman (Distinguished Teaching Professor of Art History and Arts Administration, Drexel University), and Julie Nolan (Recreation Therapy and Creative Arts Therapy, Jefferson Moss-Magee Rehabilitation Hospital).
