Alchemical: Story of a Lineage Transformed is a deeply personal and transformative multimedia experience exploring lineage, grief, recovery, creativity, resilience, and the power of love and artistic expression to create transformation.

This immersive gathering invites guests into a sacred and inspiring atmosphere where film, visual art, music, and community come together to honor healing journeys and the beauty of human connection. This evening represents a place to honor the healing potential of the human spirit after the challenges life can bring. Creativity and the healing and resilience it offers are at the center of the story.

Background

After a family member’s suicide, Clair Oaks entered a process of deep grieving.

From profound depths of sorrow and alienation to her current state of gratitude, connection, and joy, her journey is followed in a series of paintings she created in the seven years following the death of her ex-husband David (who was the father of her eldest son, Elijah).

We will exhibit this body of work, along with a film chronicling what happened and Clair’s healing process. Her (and David’s) son, Elijah Tucker will perform original music from his album “At About Five,” written and recorded as a record of his own grief and healing.

The intention for the evening is to create a grounded, inviting space where people can slow down, listen, and contemplate lineage, grief, healing, and transformation.

Curated by Shiloh Sophia of MUSEA, the evening will feature a special film screening, art reception, music, and opportunities to gather in reflection and celebration, with community.

Guests are encouraged to arrive early to enjoy the gallery environment and connect with fellow attendees before the screening begins at 6 PM - please plan to arrive by 5:45.
