Exhibits & Events

In collaboration with The Fabric Workshop and Museum and Marafiki Arts, InLiquid presents an Earth Day Indigo Dye Workshop.  This will take place on Saturday, April 22 from 1 - 3 PM and will be led by Cynthia Porter and Christina Roberts.  Indigo is a blue color with a fascinating history in many cultures around the world.  You will learn how to set up and use an indigo vat and how to create patterns on your garments using tie dye, fold and clamp, and stitch resist techniques.  These skills can help you make more sustainable choices with your wardrobe.  By upcycling, thrifting, and mending old garments we can give them new life and reduce our dependence on fast fashion.  The instructors will show examples of indigo from Nigeria, Japan, Ghana, and Mexico.

Space is limited and reservation is required to attend, so please register as early as possible.  All materials will be provided.
