Anna Mogilevskyis an American mixed-media artist. Born in Moscow, Russia, and educated in the US, Anna’s primary mediums are graphite, acryla gouache, oil paint, fabric, and embroidery. Anna’s work is informed and influenced by psychology, meditative practices, and Jungian archetypes. Her studies of the self reflect the multiple roles and interactions between the various aspects of the feminine. Philosophically, Mogilevsky is interested in how insight is expressed in outer manifestations and how self-knowledge can transform space. Anna has widely exhibited her work throughout New England, New York, New Jersey, and Ohio. She is a recipient of a number of awards, including the Ruth Katsman Scholarship, Massart Young Master Fellowship, and Florence Leif Award. A passionate educator, Anna has lectured and mentored students at the Rhode Island School of Design, School of the Museum of FineArts, Massachusetts College of Art and Design, Northeastern University, UMASS Lowell, and Dartmouth, as well as Bridgewater State University. Her curatorial projects include, "Multiplicity" at Dacia Gallery in New York, "Inscape Out scape" at the Rhode Island School of Design in Providence, RI, "Decidedly Ambivalent" at the Newton Art Center in Boston Massachusetts, and "Decidedly Ambivalent II" at the Work Gallery in Brooklyn. Anna received her Bachelors of Fine Arts in Painting at the Rhode Island School of Design and her Masters of Fine Arts in Painting, Drawing, and Printmaking from the Massachusetts College of Art and Design.
