Ready to immerse yourself in the Philadelphia contemporary art world, while schmoozing with collectors, curators, art lovers, artists, and professionals? Well, it’s almost time to pull out your creative cocktail garb, embrace that fun-loving, open-minded, art appreciating part of yourself, and measure that open wall space, you know, the one that’s crying out for artwork. The twentieth anniversary InLiquid Benefit, “Everyone is a Collector,” is just six weeks away, on January 31 and February 1, 2020! It’s time to purchase your tickets and begin to peruse the exceptional contemporary works that will be on sale in the silent auction. This event is shaping up to be both a fabulous social event as well as an opportunity to add to your collection.
As this exciting event approaches, it’s time to introduce some of our Benefit honorary chairs, Brigit Brust and Jamie Gordon Brust of Space and Company, a Philadelphia real estate company. Brigit, the founder of Space and Company, has spearheaded the company’s growth to its present status as one of the leading real estate firms in the Philadelphia area. This firm is also a leader in agent development and the gold standard of full-service, customized solutions.” Jamie Gordon is a realtor with a degree in interior design from Moore College of Art and Design.  After obtaining her design degree, she worked as Project Manager and Lead Designer for Aramark then became Architecture and Design Manager for a global ergonomics company. She has extensive knowledge of design, architecture and real estate.

And of course, real estate, architecture, design all intertwine with the art world, with people who love beautiful surroundings, are conscious of aesthetics, and who appreciate living in a well-thought-out, creative space. This year, the link between real estate and art will be even more prominent at the Benefit, as InLiquid has partnered with Rare Co. and invited six local interior designers to create a scene replete with furniture and home accessories (which will also be included in the auction). The designers will create a home-like environment which InLiquid will then curate with art being auctioned at the Benefit. The result will be a fully designed vignette which will allow guests to envision art in their own home. Many local businesses will also be donating gift certificates or other items for auction.
Space and Company takes an individualized approach to real estate that also extends to the community. As they note: “we value individuality and diversity of thought around a shared ability of real estate to open doors. Our track record of leveraging the best and brightest ideas is shifting the traditional real estate landscape and creating new paths forward. To us, real estate is personal and at its core, our philosophy is very simple- people before properties.” It’s that individualized service and understanding, along with excellence in the industry and the spirit of community, that makes Space and Company unique. As further stated by the company: “We are more than real estate experts, we’re also your neighbors. We belong to community organizations, support local businesses, advocate for the arts, and promote sustainable living projects…” What an inspiring, forward-thinking, genuinely involved company. And we are proud to have them as our sponsor. Thank you, Brigit and Jamie!
