InLiquid is proud to present our annual summer art sale at the Crane Arts Building, Art for the Cash Poor 2017. Based on the premise that everyone can be an art collector, AFTCP is one of the longest running art festivals in the Kensington/Fishtown area. The focus of the event is that all works, both by emerging and established artists alike, are priced at under two hundred dollars. It is a unique event that brings artists and the public together in an accessible way for everyone.
Today we feature one of our sponsors who has helped make Art for the Cash Poor Weekend possible and a fun event for all. Meet Quaker City Mercantile: a creative company that focuses solely on the drinks industry. Creating their own products and partnering with others to create new brands, QCM happens to own their own distillery and is responsible for the creation of Sailor Jerry Rum, Hendricks Gin, the resurrection of Narragansett Beer, and the rebirth of Pilsner Urquell (just to name a few!). In proper Cartesian philosophy, their business model is, “WE MAKE: THEREFORE, WE ARE. SO LET’S MAKE SOMETHING THAT MATTERS.” When it comes to AFTCP, where “everyone is an art collector,” we couldn’t be more excited about this collaboration.
This year at AFTCP, Quaker City Mercantile will be providing an original recipe consisting of QC Lemon Shrub, unsweetened ice tea, and freshly squeezed lemon—it is called the QC Ice Tea. In addition, they will be providing their Old Dutch Whiskey, a birch beer flavor. Thirsty yet?
Catch Quaker City Mercantile at the Art for the Cash Poor Bar on Saturday and Sunday, June 17th and 18th!
